Components for packaging (carton, wood skids, plastic bags) had Std Material Cost in IQMS which was double dipping the costs in books since we were also booking all purchases in the Std Material Cost line every month, in order to stop this all Std Material costs were removed for all packaging components in IQMS leaving only the actual purchases to be booked as the packaging material costs in accounting, this will ensure the actual packaging costs are reflected in the P&L every month without duplicating costs, this will also help for Forecast accuracy.
